Privacy Policy
At GymAI Club ("the App"), we care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect while you use the App, how we use that data, and what rights you have.
1. Data Controller
This App is developed and operated by the individual developer Onur Küçüktürk. For privacy-related questions, you can reach us at gymaiclub01@gmail.com.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in through your Google or Apple account, we receive basic identity information (name, email address, profile photo). This information is used solely to create your account and verify your identity.
2.2 Camera Data
The App requests access to your device's camera in order to analyze your exercise form. This analysis is performed entirely on your device (on-device); your camera footage is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2.3 Photo Gallery
Access to your photo gallery is requested so you can choose a profile picture. The photo you select is used only to be displayed on your profile.
2.4 Health and Fitness Data (Apple HealthKit)
If you grant permission, your workout progress and daily activity may be shared with the Apple Health app. This data is used solely to provide you with a personalized workout experience; it is not used for advertising or marketing purposes and is not shared with third parties.
2.5 AI-Powered Features
The App uses a recommendation logic based on your goal, fitness level, and workout frequency to generate personalized workout plans. This process is performed entirely within the App; your workout data is not transmitted to a third-party AI service for this purpose. Camera-based rep counting also runs entirely on your device; the camera image never leaves your device.
Calorie estimation in the Nutrition section is the exception, and it only works with your explicit consent. The meal you type is first looked up in the local food library on your device. If it is not found there and you have explicitly enabled this feature, only the meal text you typed (for example “2 slices of bread 3 eggs”) is sent through our server to our AI service provider Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, United States), and estimated calorie and macro values are returned. Your name, email address, user ID, weight, height, age, and any other health or identity data are not sent with this request, and the text sent is not linked to your account. The text sent is not used to train AI models. The service provider automatically deletes the text sent and the response returned within 30 days. To avoid sending the same meal text repeatedly, estimation results are stored anonymously on our server.
We ask for this permission the first time the feature is used, and you can turn it off at any time from Settings → AI Calorie Estimation. While it is off, no data is sent and only on-device calculation is used. Calorie and macro values produced by AI are estimates, not medical or dietary advice.
2.6 Usage Data
Basic technical data (device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports) may be collected to ensure the App functions properly.
3. Data We Do Not Use
- We do not use any advertising or tracking SDKs (such as the Facebook SDK or AdMob).
- We do not collect or use your device's Advertising Identifier.
- We do not collect your location data.
4. Sharing of Data
Your personal data is not shared with third parties except in the following cases:
- Where required by a legal obligation
- With subprocessors that are essential to providing the service (such as cloud infrastructure providers), limited strictly to operating the service
- With your explicit consent, only the meal text you typed, with our AI service provider Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, United States), for calorie estimation (see Section 2.5)
5. Data Security
Your data is protected with industry-standard security measures (encrypted connections - HTTPS). However, we remind you that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account within the App. When your account is deleted, your associated personal data is removed from our systems.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from users we know to be under 18 years old.
8. Your Rights
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to:
- Request access to your data
- Request correction of your data
- Request deletion of your data

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you within the App.
